Portobello Pizzas

Ingredients:

  • 4 portobello mushroom caps
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 4 fresh basil leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Clean the mushroom caps and remove the stems, then pat dry.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil and minced garlic. Use this mixture to brush both sides of the mushroom caps and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Bake the mushrooms stem-side down on a baking sheet for 10 minutes.
