I reviewed numerous nutrition apps and found the best ones that will help you meet your goals.
The following apps are all free, have 3.5-5.0 stars, and for both iOS and Android.
My TOP 5 Recommendations are:
- MyNetDiary
If you want to lose weight, MyNetDiary is for you! It is a food diary and also has dietary advice. It calculates how many calories you need based on your height, weight, and goals. Everyday you put in what you ate and your exercise.
2. Waterlogged
Enter in your water intake and Waterlogged will help you make sure you’re drinking enough water. It tells you how much water you need based on your height/weight. It also can remind you to drink more water!
3. HealthyOut
Do you travel? Do you ever go to a new location and not know where to eat? HealthyOut helps you find healthy restaurants nearby! You can also put in your nutritional needs and preferences.
4. Shopwell
Are you ever unsure if something is healthy at the grocery store? If so, this app will help. You scan the barcode of the item and it will give you nutritional information based on your dietary needs.
5. Fitocracy Macros
If you only want to calculate your macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat), Fitocracy Macros is for you! It also calculates how many calories you are eating but it doesn’t give you advice on how to lose weight.
